To my little baby:

We were finally able to tell the world about you this week and everyone is so excited to meet you.  At your last ultrasound, you finally looked like an actual baby with a profile, arms and legs!  You were so active, moving around your little arms, and the sound of your heartbeat is one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard.  The next day, we found out you're a BOY!  Lucky you, because you're going to have so many boy cousins to play with!

As part of our big reveal photo, we bought you your first pair of shoes: black leather converse to match Daddy's.  I also bought you your first book, "Love You Forever", and I can't wait to read it to you.

This week, you're the size of a peach.  Your bones are forming in your arms and legs and your vocal cords are underway.  We already love you, and can't wait to meet you in 6 months!

By the way, if you're wondering how I first told Daddy about you, watch this video:

How far along? 13 weeks!  Finally out of the first trimester.  26 more weeks to go.

Size of baby: A peach.

Weight gain: I'm guessing 3-4 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Not yet, but probably soon.  My clothes are definitely starting to feel snug!

Stretch marks: Nope, thank God.  I'll probably start using some type of butter soon (assuming it even works...)

Symptoms: I get tired pretty easily.  There was also a solid few weeks where I just felt nauseous every. single. day.  No throwing up, just nauseous.  Luckily, that seems to have gone away.

Cravings: Nothing in particular, but lots of junk food (carbs, anyone?).  I need to get this under control

Gender: We found out through an early blood test that it's a BOY!

Mood: Full of anticipation.

Nursery: I've already started to dream it up.  I'm not a big fan of blue, so I'm thinking more along the lines of grey.  I'll probably wait until the house is further along before I take this on as my #1 project.

Movement: Not yet, but can't wait!

Sleep: Sleep is fine, except for the last couple nights where I've woken up at 4am to go pee, and then can't fall back asleep.  I'm really hoping this isn't going to be a new thing of mine.  Also, I can easily spend half my day napping.

Workouts: I tried to take it easy the first trimester and stuck to low impact workouts.  Then I broke my toe a few weeks ago and haven't been able to do much.  I'm trying to slowly ease back into some type of activity (lately, Zumba).

What I miss: Wine and sushi.  I took communion at church on Sunday and that tiny sip of wine tasted heavenly. :-)

Belly button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Anything making you queasy or sick? Thankfully, no.

Best moment this week: Seeing baby actively moving on the ultrasound and finally being able to tell everyone about the pregnancy.

Labor signs? Nope.

Looking forward to: Feeling baby move around in my belly and the next ultrasound!
